Gen. Christopher T. Donahue relinquished his position as Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) in Wiesbaden, Germany, during a ceremony at Clay Kaserne on Thursday, following recent reports of tension between himself and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. General Donahue’s position in Europe, previously a command for a four-star officer, will be downgraded to a three-star command under order from the Pentagon, with Maj. Gen. Christopher Norrie to serve as the Acting Commander of USAREUR-AF.

According to the Israel Defense Force (IDF), two IDF soldiers were moderately injured, with another 6 being lightly injured, following a Lebanese Hezbollah bomb-laden drone attack during IDF operations in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were transported to the hospital and their families have been notified, per reports.

In a not so shocking move, Virgin Atlantic has decided to follow carriers like Cathay Pacific and raise their fees for award tickets.

Here is what the new fees look like:

- Economy USA-LHR: $111 -> $164
- Economy LHR-USA: $270 -> $327
- Premium: $240 -> $298
- Business USA-LHR: $586 -> $701
- Business LHR-USA: $720 -> $970

With economy fares being as cheap as 6000 points and the bulk of the cost being the fees, this means that even with a 40% transfer bonus, you pay a lot more than before for the same ticket.

Fees for flights to LHR were already expensive. But is hike enough to make you reconsider your travel plans?
