On Sunday we are heading back out to Gambia to catch up with our friends and provide new peer led trainings. I am also hoping to meet our sponsor child. I hope the trip lives up to my expectations… I am sure it will!

In 2013, I was given the opportunity to visit @gunjurproject in The Gambia with @girlstakeactiongambia . I set about fundraising the £1300 to get me there. I made cards, ran a photo keyring stall, hosted a Spanish evening and began running science events…

In 2019, LJMU donated 46 microscopes to our ongoing work in Gambia. We had to find a way to get these shipped to Gambia and quickly arranged for a 40ft shipping container full of lots of wonderful donations. My plan was to fly out to meet it in April 2020, then the world stopped.
