@amdradeon @verge You need a reference design. None of the partner cards are supporting a USB-C port which means the PSVR2 (and other headsets) won't work natively - as they do with two previous generations.

Having to now spend $100 on a breakout box and an ugly cable setup is not acceptable.

@opinali @Sebasti66855537 AIB cards can even be a regression. Take AMD partner boards which remove the USB-C port so you can't attach a PSVR2 without a messy dongle setup.

How often do you need three HDMI ports vs how common is USB.

There's no point upgrading CPU now hoping that one day you'll get that next-gen $2k GPU.

@SebAaltonen An NPU on a gaming focused handheld could be useful for fluid/cloth Sims and NPCs (everything from pathfinding to generating dialog).
Not that you couldn't do any of that on the GPU but there could be efficiency advantages.

@SebAaltonen NVIDIA GPUs with "tensorcores" can't do DLSS upscaling at zero GPU cost though.

The performance overhead (around 1ms) is almost identical to FSR which doesn't use "tensorcores".

@phoronix Oppff. It was supposed to hit 1-EF back in 2019. When that target was missed Intel said it would eventually hit 2-EF.

El Capitan comes online later this year with 2EF in it's sights as well.

The painting process is slow and the paint shop is the single most energy intensive part of building a car. Removing this step is a major leap for efficiency and is great for the environment.
