If an estimated 360 million glasses of champagne or sparkling wine are consumed on New Year’s Eve, how many bubbles would they release? For #ScienceSunday, let’s turn to physics for the answer. 🧵

@dieworkwear Recycling is not the answer to decreasing the environmental impact of #FastFashion, reducing consumption, i.e. buying fewer items that will last longer is. Investment pieces, aka #ForeverFashion, really are worth it.
I've been doing some clothing-related posts for Science Friday. Here's a short story on why it's hard to recycle clothes. Ultimately, shopping sustainably means buying less, buying better.

Dr. Gérard Liger-Belair considered such factors as the van’t Hoff equation for temperature dependence, the critical radius for bubble nucleation and ascending bubble dynamics. In a series of publications, he estimates a million bubbles of CO2 per glass of champagne!
