The compassion and empathy my students showed me today, while I suffered with a migraine, was incredible. They maintained a quiet environment, held each other accountable, and accomplished what they needed to do. I truly am so lucky to be their teacher! I love my lions🖤🦁
Today was the most amazing first day of school! I am the luckiest lion in Lockhart! I’m teaching so many of my students from last year again, I’m in the same hallway as my closest friends, and I get to spread school spirit as the LJH cheer coach! 🖤🦁 #LockhartLions#LJH
The best part of my day is reading the book my student is writing and talking about literature with them. I may be a science teacher, but I will always support the things my students are passionate about!🖤📖
The comfy corner that I created for my students was inspired by the type of alternative working space that I need to thrive. Everyday I strive to give them the things I never had, but needed as a student.
I’m surprising my students with filled out study guides to take home over the break and letting them do labs to review instead. Sometimes you just gotta let kids get up and have fun with the content instead of doing writing prompts. I will always keep ‘em on their toes though.
Did I almost lose my mind creating so many differentiated project outlines? Yes. Am I excited to see the expert projects my students create? Absolutely! #LoveMyJob#ScienceTeacher
I kicked off the 2022-2023 school year with the women that empower me to be a better teacher, colleague, and friend. #Convocation2022#LJHS#LockhartLions
My students were fully engaged today. It was so cool watching them problem solve and make adjustments to their planes. I’m going to miss these kiddos! #LoveMyLISD
@ms_tafoya You are one of the most powerful women I know. All you needed was yourself. I’m just lucky I got to be your own personal cheerleader from day one!
On Friday I will walk the stage at my favorite university again, but this time for my MASTERS in Educational Leadership 👩🏼🎓✨
Thank you to everyone who loved and supported me on this journey. I couldn’t have done it without you!
Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat.
