🎁 FREE GIFT: FULL ROSENSHINE CPD PACK!
To celebrate 50 consecutive weeks of ⚗️DistillED, I’ve put together something quite cool…
Over the past year, Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction has been one of the most requested topics from teachers and school leaders. So I’ve put together a complete, ready-to-run CPD pack to help schools explore and implement all 10 principles.
The download includes:
→ 10 CPD PowerPoints (ready for 30–45 min sessions)
→ 10 strategy checklists (practical classroom actions)
→ 10 planning templates (put principles into action )
→ Covers all 10 of Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction
Everything you need to run ten focused CPD sessions — one for each principle.
👉 REPOST and comment ROSENSHINE and I’ll DM you the link. Cheers!
⏰ Available until Sunday 22 March!
@NakedWines absolutely awful customer service, have had a back and forth email exchange all week trying to get a refund. So much for your 100% no quibble guarantee. 🤬😡
@STEMyBanda 💯 agreed. I loathe Arbor with a passion. Designed for primary schools. We always have issues with data collection for triple science as it can't seem to handle different timetables for triple and combined students. And the parents evenings are always a mess for triple classes.
@MissBird90 I might have misread this, but I thought it was saying that it's mandatory for all schools to offer triple science but not mandatory for every student to take it.
@MissBird90 Would definitely be interested in collaborating and sharing resources. We're concerned about how much content there is. We think it should be 45 hour lessons for Bio and Phys and 54 for chem but we only have 9 hours of teaching a fortnight. 😬
@MissBird90 We've gone with Pearson BTEC for AAQ applied science. We've moved over from AQA applied science which was hard as there were so few resources.
Our entry requirements are 5 grade 4s at GCSE. Our A level sciences require a 6.
Science AAQ questions, please share!
We teach the Pearson BTEC level 3 dip/ex cert, but are open to different subjects in AAQ. We will probably run 2 small courses.
I'm interested to hear what other centres are choosing and why.

@MrsHTeach1 We've got exam wizard and have used questions from the old BTEC. Email me and I'll send you what we have put together [email protected]
Our students got 4s and 5s at GCSE so we're only expecting passes and merits. They've found the chem really hard so far.

How is everyone fitting this all in?
We have 119 hours of lessons to fit in 180 hours of guided learning hours.
We've worked out 45 lessons for Bio, 54 lessons for Chem, 45 lessons for Bio. That's not going to fit before the exams starting in May.
