We followed our tour with a lovely buffet picnic overlooking the sea, a tour of a pineapple plantation and some time in Ponta Delgada's old town to stock up on souvenirs

Our Hike was followed by some misty views of a volcanic crater lake and another dip in some hydrothermal baths at Caldiera Velha, some Portuguese custard tarts and finally, a tour of the bacterial and geological formations in a lava tunnel
We continued the day by watching a live collection of some cozido das Furnas from the geothermal calderas. The we went to sample the different springs in Furnas including naturally fizzy water!
Team Science are in the Azores learning about its natural history. So far this morning we have learned about how banana trees are grown organically, how the island we are staying on formed and a project to deal with eutrophication at Lagoa das Furnas @RGSCoCurricular
Today's #TSIFriday saw 4 of our sixth form giving some great talks on a range of topics. From explosive to the effects of sunlight on our circadian rhythm from memory metal to synthesises.
