#Thankyou for providing quality education to the future leaders of tomorrow. Thank you for your continued dedication to teaching while dealing w/ shrinking budgets + limited access to resources. Thank you for ALL that you do. https://t.co/IGChr6WbBs #NSTA#TeacherAppreciationDay
Starting to work on my lesson plan on aquatic food webs. I sometimes forget how much I have learned in my junior year. Trying to provide multiple means of access to my lessons is defiantly difficult but well worth it!#KSCBio#KSCMarineBio
Today is #WorldBookDay What are some good books you have read about science? I can start to create a reading list for this summer :) #KscBio#KSCMarineBio
@Maddi_Bio I think it would be cool to see a neuroscience course that teaches about the development of the brain from childhood to adult and factors that affect development #KSCMarineBio
I think a cool course that #KSCBio could have is about plants and society. It could include how we produce plants for food, medicine, or how invasive species can have effects on our world. It'd be cool also to just learn how to garden or purchase food ethically. #KSCMarineBio
@woodburyschool Hello, I am a Salem District alumni, I am currently a student at @KeeneState_ . I am in an education course and have to have an interview with a current middle school science teacher. Is possible to get some contact information of someone who may be available?
Here is my new blog post on some free resources for teachers to use to teach climate change https://t.co/MlzERbVh9G There are resources in there to teach others too!! #KSCBio#KSCMarineBio
Today I am working on researching the available resources for teachers about conservation. I would love some responses from a few about your experiences with science in elementary school. none, very little, a lot. If you remember any good or bad experiences. #KSCBio#KSCMarineBio
There are so many things that public education can provide students. Sadly there are many things that students feel like they don't get. I would love to have some responses from you about what ways you feel school failed you, and maybe how it could be helped #KSCBio#KSCMarineBio
@sarahlarsen2019@ScienceSwain Sadly it's not a requirement at KSC as a biology major. I took a Global Change Biology course, but it was an elective, not a requirement. For biology ed, you have to take either physics or geology and are encouraged to take both... no ENST though #KSCBio
What was your experience with science throughout elementary school and maybe middle school? was it an afterthought, do you remember any specific lessons or projects. #KscBio#KscMarineBio
I would love to have a few more insights for my blog post about conservation education within public schools or other things you feel like you missed out on.
