@Doghablaespanol Thankfully fraud and retractions are concentrated in paper mills. Technology to detect fraud is improving. Integrity has never been more important and is being encouraged. Decentralised publishing, improved reviewing, and increased scientific funding will absolutely reduce fraud.

@AndrewHemingway There is a lack of consultation with TradSci. I see many projects saying they will ‘fix academia’. We don’t need a replacement, we need help. Current scientists are putting effort to help DeSci out. DeSci needs to start coming and asking how they can help.

Who does the speculative aspect benefit? At the moment I’m mainly seeing it benefit crypto speculators. Is it really attracting many scientists? Are they staying due to holding the depreciating assets or for the vision?
