@theo@akivisualz I've used Codex, GitHub Copilot and Claude Code (Sonnet & Opus) for months and have completely won over by Opus, with how I want to interact with models. I don't want to "give a prompt and walk away for an hour". I'm heavily involved in the gen process.
@theo@akivisualz Codex and Claude Code are fundamentally different interaction models. Codex was built from the ground up to be agentic and autonomous. Claude Code works much better in plan mode, having a dialog to define the work then letting it go.
Are there any plans to bring @github@Copilot conversations from web to mobile by chance? I find myself never using the mobile app anymore for copilot, I just use the website on my phone so I can keep conversations and agent work going.
@_Evan_Boyle@Grynn Having said that though - Copilot for Pull Request reviews has smoked Claude and ChatGPT in both small and large PRs. I use it exclusively for that these days.
@_Evan_Boyle@Grynn It doesn't seem to reason or think on the problem very well. I end up having multiple back and forth as with it trying to solve a code issue while Claude solves in one prompt. Happens often enough that I don't use it anymore for helping me with code
@bcherny I wonder if this is actually an issue with https://t.co/UnSkd4DCMx having my repository added to a project as a source file - resyncing it. I also have claude added to my GitHub PR - though only 1 PR has been issued and that was last night. I removed them all to test.
@bcherny My Claude Code was left idle in terminal for 11 hours with no usage. I swapped over to it and was told on the first prompt I hit my usage limit and had to wait. Is this a known issue? Seems like there usage without interaction that's burning my rate up.
@bcherny This would be great if I didn't hit the rate limit on Pro after 15 minutes of usage... Something that recently started... I've got from hours of coding with Claude to 15-20 minutes and then dead for 3 hours. Ya'll have forced me to Codex, which is by far dumber than Claude.
Idk what happened to Claude and it's rate limits but it's mostly unsable by me now. Looks like I'm stuck with Codex for long sessions... which sucks, literally. Though it could be worse, I could be forced to use GitHub Copilot or Gemini I suppose.
Having to provide context for a conversation had in CLI about that ended in a PR that was just reviewed in the cloud is painful and counter productive. Re-explaining the same thing over and over is what keeps me in in the CLI and never using the desktop/web/mobile apps.
Talking to Claude Code/GPT Codex, then talking to GPT/Claude mobile or web, then using their cloud Code/Codex cloud environment to review pull requests and run some agentic work is like talking to 3 completely different people when it should be like talking to one person.
The issue was indeed my GitHub token was missing credentials; Copilot wouldn't tell me though, it just kept telling me "it needs repo write scopes, should i go ahead?".
Claude on the other hand actually told me "yo you're missing permissions." and stopped. Much better experience
My experience with @github@Copilot with the GitHub CLI in a nut shell.
I've moved back to @claudeai Code and have it using the GitHub CLI through bash commands. Much better results which is a bit disappointing.
Any good communities out there for Switft/iOS development discussions outside of Apples own developer forums? I found a Discord server but it seems kind of lifeless.
