@mattyglesias If determinism is true (or mostly true) then it’s all epistemological (I don’t think Q physics would impact this). But predicting a close election with 99.9% certainty in June is probably easier than predicting how one person’s coin flip is about to come out with 99.9% certainty.
@ealsandor Hi Eric, I’m a very happy buyer of Rane in Blood. Amazing module. Do you have any thoughts on the stats for the Premonition / the Shrike that are compatible with Shipbreakers Toolkit? No worries if not, just wondering!
@jowrotethis Overjoyed to listen to you and @MalloryRubin talking Andor this week and ❤️❤️ed the Pimpernel Parallel. Do you have a favorite tv/movie version (is there enough for a ScreenDrafts I wonder?!) My first love was Grant but my heart remains open. Thanks to you both!
@WesterosHistory the only reference to “floorboards” I see is the Merchant’s House in Volantis during ADWD, but at the Twins in ASOS, Cat notices that her rooms at the top of the castle are carpeting on top of planked floors. Most references to “board” are “the food table” though

@AWSTIG ... getting beyond laws and restraints and into the basics of what would someone do if they had no restraints? How would their decisions be different, good and bad? I feel like most superhero movies don’t explore too much with that though but I’m curious if y’all feel differently
@AWSTIG to your point about wasting powers: if you can “manifest,” ie you can rearrange quarks / electrons at will, why do you need a Thor hamster wheel? Why not just rearrange Thor’s electrons into a toaster and some waste heat? Or do you not get to pick which electrons you use?
@AWSTIG Curious what you guys think about what a good use of a super power is in a story (beyond cool fights/ special effects). Like, what is thematically interesting about subverting the laws of physics in this way for my story? Loved your discussion of Mr. Incredible and the idea of...
