@Maya19491001 "Never leave their owners" doesn't mean their owners won't leave them. Bonnie didn't seem to notice or care that she left Woody at the carnival. Andy would've been worried sick.
@Maya19491001 Woody is in the same phase of life that Jessie was in after Emily and the point of the movies is to show that its okay to go through periods of your life where you're NOT "fulfilling your purpose".
@Maya19491001 But Bonnie doesn't value him the same way Andy did. And she shouldn't be expected to, as she's not the same kid.
Al didn't value Jessie the same way Emily did. She spent time in storage, not in a family and not being a favorite toy and still found her way to Bonnie.
The fact that sign language for mermaids makes perfect sense since they live underwater, yet nowadays people would cry "woke" over something this logical.
I just realized something interesting about Avatar: The Last Airbender. In the Earth Kingdom, Haru saved an old man, only for that same man to betray him. But in the Fire Nation, when Jet was planning to destroy a village, an old man vouched for Sokka after Sokka saved him. 👀
THE PARALLEL IS ACTUALLY INSANE. In one situation, someone Haru saved turned against him, while in the other, someone Sokka saved helped protect him. Two similar situations, but completely different outcomes.
This is one of the reasons Avatar was written so brilliantly. It constantly reminds us that the world isn’t black and white. The people on the supposedly good side aren’t always good, and the people on the supposedly bad side aren’t always evil. Sometimes, the real difference comes down to individual choices, not which nation someone belongs to. 🔥
@Maya19491001 For 3 movies, hes always tried to get back to Andy. He clung to a bond that ran its course but he got closure with his kid that Jessie didn't. The 4th movie was him realizing his next owner (like Jessie with Al) wasn't a good fit.
@Maya19491001 Andy was Woody's kid. The one who needed him most. Jessie was Emily's, went through a period as a lost toy, and then became Bonnie's. Woody is in that "lost toy" period of his life where he isn't *wanted* but that doesn't mean he's now obsolete.
@Seshka6 Octavia can read and has a phone/has studied some form of magic. She honestly just seems like an awkward teenager who grew up in an abusive household so she doesn't try to get close to people.
@S_Yuli_S But Octavia got an education. When Stolas was found out only HIS reputation was ruined. Only HIS powers were stripped. Stella still gets to enjoy the wealth and status of being royalty and even tries to rob Via of some of her inheritance so she can still benefit.
@Caffe1neW1tch And that means raising Via to NOT be a disappointment like they all see him as. Stolas is a disgrace who everyone kicked to the curb readily. Stella and Octavia still maintained their status and wealth even when he was cast aside.
@Caffe1neW1tch Lets be real: He isn't saying it's his only purpose, but its really the only purpose anyone cares about. His own father barely cared about giving him the book. Stella herself says its a silly thing. No one cares about his stars. They care about a strong Heir.
@LucifersFavDuck Stella continues the cycle and has gone from being the victim to being the abuser. Thats her unhealthy coping mechanism.
Stolas broke the cycle of abuse from childhood but still lets other cycles continue. Thats his unhealthy way of coping.
@Pinkiepiezfsp They're selling Stolas' things so Via can't have them/they still get to make money off of them.
How strained is her relationship with her daughter that she doesn't expect to get to continue using/owning them once Via gets them?
@Pinkiepiezfsp What's telling is that he's not selling HER things (which Stolas already had sent to her) he's selling Stolas' things that SHE wants and feels entitled to. All of which are things that are supposed to go directly to Via when she turns 18.
