@Grummz When I read that tweet I honestly thought the "grown adults crying" was referring to whatever group of people influenced Ubisoft to change the game from its original version. Ironic.
@CJFerguson1111@sentientist@DrDavidLey@ChrisAlvino "Screen limits aren’t useful” doesn’t follow. Meta-analyses don’t cure shared design flaws; demand effects are an unproven hypothesis, and one of many potential confounds. Youre acting as if failure to reject null hypothesis means null hypothesis is true.
@neoavatara Of course your point collapses immediately. Portugal’s foreign-resident population from the Indian subcontinent rose from 22k in 2017 to 260k+ today. NOT including Goans with Portuguese citizenship. “Goa 1510” doesn’t explain an 11x spike in the past 9 years.
@RealRiddimHours@justalexoki There is no uniform "US" traffic law, and not every state has a backing statute. But pulling out forward still requires yeilding/ordinary care, and backing statutes don’t create automatic fault, they just create a traffic violation for unsafe/interfering backing.
@JamesSurowiecki@JasonClark829 The response was also a joke, meant to mock Bulwark editors, while also (correctly) interpreting Blanche's clumsy language. Your attack of "but that's not *literally*what he said!" is probably the worst tweet of the three, because it's just hyperliteralist pedantry.
@JasonClark829@JamesSurowiecki The underlying comment suggests he is unaware you aren't required to show ID at restaurants because all he does is go to strip clubs. Obviously what he said is literally untrue. The question is what is the implication. You already got the quote wrong, maybe just bow out.
@JamesSurowiecki To get into a club or to buy alcohol at a restaurant. That was the implication.
The tweet you are defending is suggesting that Blanche is unaware that restaurants don't ID people at the door, because he only eats at strip clubs. Absurd.
@rjohnston4@1millersj@JamesSurowiecki@atrupar Because of context. Blanche said “restaurant or club.” pretty clear that he’s talking about being carded in alcohol/nightlife contexts. The idea that an adult has literally never eaten at a normal restaurant and thinks you get ID’d at the door may be funny but it's implausible.
