Recent research found a plastic tea bag steeped in hot water can release 11.6 billion microplastic particles and 3.1 billion nanoplastic particles! It's time to consider using loose leaf tea strainers instead of single use tea bags.

Fall is here! That means activity in your compost pile will slow down as temperatures get cooler. You can help these microorganisms by continuing to add material to your pile and not turning it during the winter to maximize heat retention.
