It would be a tremendous mistake to dismiss the communist insurgency that is taking over the Democrat Party.
It would be an even bigger mistake to celebrate it.
These things ALWAYS start small.
They donโt stay small.
Hey @JohnCornyn, the base is already demoralized. Itโs only up from here, but that would require passing the Save America Act. The rest of it is just noise.
You and your fellow Senate RINOs have unbelievably squandered the best chance at actual reform in Washington in decades. Nicely done.
Happy to do so. โTalking filibusterโ wonโt get us there and the votes arenโt there to nuke the filibuster, but open to any constructive ideas. My concern is falsely raising expectations and demoralizing our base, seems like a flawed strategy to win the midterms, 131 days from now.

@KylieJaneKremer In other words, the Dominion law suit was intended for public consumption so as to sway opinion, and to kick the can down the road, delaying accountability.
Think of Michael Jordan coming into the NBA. A generational talent who raised the level of play, was all about basketball and had huge endorsement potential. He was also a trash talker on the court and was famously a trash talker who was all about competition and winning. Individual rivalries developed as well.
Same with Caitlin. But Jordan was embraced by his coach and the league. In fact in many ways they road his coattails.
The WNBA, its coaches and its players (with some exception) are missing a huge opportunity.
Evolve or die.
@SenRandPaul This is a principled and honorable path for you. This approach is appreciated. Others in opposition to the Iran war should take the same approach on this issue and this vote.
The thing is, vote for me because I am not a Democrat is not persuasive, and will not drive turnout enough to truly make a difference.
Think of the energy around 2024. It was huge. With a broad coalition and an energized electorate. And Trump was on the ballot.
Add to that the obvious ballot shenanigans, which could be addressed with the Save America Act.
A do-nothing Republican legislature is not going to get it done.
Thatโs not a blackpill. Thatโs just reality.
