On 11/8/2024, the Tampa Police Dept alerted the FHP about an organized street takeover event that was supposed to occur in the city. TPD advised that a large group of cars was doing donuts in the parking lot of 13554 University Plaza St. The FHP responded to the scene.
On 9/15/24, a trooper on routine patrol in Brooksville was flagged down by a motorist reporting her rental car had been stolen while she was outside of it. The suspect had taken the vehicle w/o permission. The trooper responded to the location and began searching for the suspect.
On October 20, 2024, at approximately 3:50 AM, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper intercepted a wrong-way driver on I-275. The trooper struck the rear of the silver Kia Sportage to stop the driver, who was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes.
On September 15, 2024 at approximately 4:25 AM, an FHP trooper patrolling the Gandy Bridge in Pinellas County, Florida, noticed a vehicle speeding and weaving erratically across the roadway. #highspeedpursuit#fhp#florida
