I'm puzzled as to why this not only HAS NOT happened… but isn't even a thing AT ALL.

It makes no sense.

And it isn't just the US Govt that could have done it… the States—there ARE 50 of them—could have bootstrapped something too. But… nope!

It kinda shocks me that, given Trump's issues with elections, the Trump Administration hasn't spent the last 18 months working to bootstrap an open-source digital voting solution.
The behavior is not what I'd expect from someone so concerned with 'rigged' elections.

In cases where fraud is suspected, courts could reverse the encryption, through process, and unlock nodes on the local election commission's private election blockchain that uses the info on the public blockchain to reveal the full chain relationship of a ballot.

All auditable.
