It’s narcissism to place the boards need for appearances over the welfare of what will be the future of the ABS. You’re forcing people into unstable economic situations. Karma is real.

@AmBdSurg Good Lord if it about money, just tell us and we will happily pay. We know these tests don’t assess technical skills and is very subjective in its evaluation of clinical skills. Most surgeons are specializing & will be far away from Gen Surg. You know all this. Shame on you.

The placating w/ SCORE and credit protection but I don’t trust the fine print of all that. None of it solves the problem. This is not restitution. It’s unacceptable.

We can use all the logic and calls for empathy and compassion but it means nothing to those without it. What we need is a display of real leadership, which would involve using all those things. It’s no wonder why people don’t believe surgeons are human.
