Before the holidays, the Interventional Endoscopy team braved the cold to gather for a collaborative retreat.

This dedicated group met to welcome new colleagues and discuss operations, innovation and emerging technologies. Key focus topics included pancreatic cyst treatment, foregut endoscopy, third space endoscopy and interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).

While we will assess competency and record them, the goal is not to establish competency at that number.

Hoping this does not get misinterpreted. This is early pilot work for transnasal evaluation of the esophagus. Not a full endoscopy and no tissue sampling. Simply assessment. We are looking at feasibility. This does not replace egd in anyway.

Again quite a bit of effort has gone into looking at all guidelines and this is a gap. They also have been spending countless hours in simulation.
