@ABrilliantRose “Yes, let’s.” He says and pulls another book off the top of the pile. He opens it and looks through the chapter titles briefly. He flips to the page he needs and pulls out a roll of parchment so he can take notes as needed.
He shuffles around many treacherous corners of the library, hardly able to see around the stack of books in his arms.
Finally he makes it back to the alcove without incident. “All right.” He shoves the stack down on the table. “This is everything I could find.” @ABrilliantRose
He squints against the brightness of the sun. He really wished he hadn’t forgotten his sunglasses. He was tempted to go into a nearby shop to pick up a new pair, but he was already running late to meet @ABrilliantRose .
He swerved through the crowd toward the ice cream —
@AstuteAstoria “A lemon cake it is.” He says. She mentioned it first. So he figured she probably preferred that one. He tugs his wand out of his pocket to summon all the bowls and pans they’d need.
@ABrilliantRose “Oh nice!” He says. “Congrats. What department will it be in?” He asks her as he flips a page of one of the books. He begins copying down a note to incorporate into the essay.
@ABrilliantRose “Yeah, one of my essays I’m short by a couple sources. So I need to find a few more.” He explains. He wasn’t surprised she was so ahead of schedule. He wondered how she kept so organized.
“I’ll be happy when it’s over and we can finally relax for a couple months.”
@ABrilliantRose He looks up from the book he was reading, at first startled by the voice. Then he relaxes as he recognizes who’s in front of him.
“Hey, Rose.” He says with a smile. “Not at all. It’s all yours,” he tells her.
“Finishing up the last few projects?” He asks.
The party was two days away and NO ONE told him that he was supposed to bring someone along to the party. That probably should have been written right on the invitation, no?
Scorpius sighed as he frantically speed-walked down the corridor. He came up — @ABrilliantRose
@ABrilliantRose “Very true.” He laughs. “Can’t say the same for myself. Oh— I have something for you.” He digs into his pocket and holds out what looks like a small folded flower made out of paper. He holds it out to her, knowing the moment she takes it it’ll turn into a real bouquet.
@ABrilliantRose He steps in after her and lets the door gently shut behind them. They weren’t the first ones there. “Drink?” He asks her, looking over to one of the far tables.
