Scottish Esports Hub

Social enterprise designed primarily as an esports information service with a focus on careers advice *CURRENTLY INACTIVE*

[DotShotgun @AmDotshotgun]

Saying that, I am very proud of what I achieved with SEH and I know we helped some people and groups along the way. Don't know if I'll ever go back to it right now but my uni course doesn't end till summer 2024 so no really thinking that far ahead.

[DotShotgun @AmDotshotgun]

Just a wee update on @ScotEsportsHub

Since I'm doing a full time postgrad in career guidance, and a part time job to fund it, I don't really have time for SEH right now sadly. Made a lot of mistakes, and it's a huge retreat of mine that I wasn't able to launch the service.

[Scottish Esports Network @ScotEsportsNet]

Off the back of last night's success at @skelpesports launch night, remember to RSVP for any of the next meetups.

Dundee - April 13th
Edinburgh - May 11th
Glasgow - June 8th

Location is based on numbers attending so rsvp-ing helps a bunch.

I've seen a few people on the timeline lately endorsing/sponsoring/retweeting individuals or orgs that have problematic history within the esports scene. I get the excitement around new projects but please do your due dilligence and be careful about how you support new partners.

[Dale R Murray 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 @D_RMurray]

Massive thanks @skelpesports and @beanroll for having me out to talk at the launch night.

Great energy and vibes all round. Hopefully see some of you lovely people at the next @ScotEsportsNet events.

[Scottish Esports Hub @ScotEsportsHub]

We're extending the pilot for another two weeks due to fewer people using the service than we'd have liked.

Over the next two weeks, we'll try increasing our social media coverage in order to let more people know about the service.

Maybe hot take, but all unpaid Esports roles should be COMPLETELY transparent that they're unpaid.

Idk if it makes orgs/events feel clout for sponsor hunting but it gives a false impression for people outside the industry how successful things are

More wage transparency = Good
