Earlier this week, Sharon McMeel, Peter MacKay and ‘She Burns Red’ band visited Limerick City as part of The Edinburgh Fringe Society and an anniversary celebration event of the iconic Scottish Poet Robert Burns.
This was held in Shannon Rowing Club on Wednesday evening. Attended by Mayor John Moran, Sharon McMeel, Scottish Government Office, Ireland organised the event.
Earlier in the day they also shared poetry, music and stories with pupils at Le Chéile N.S. and St. Mary’s N.S. in Limerick City and educated the pupils about Scottish culture, music and other themes. This was co-ordinated by the Regeneration Department at Limerick City & County Council.
