Historians and academics from across disciplines know how vital it is that the People’s Story continues to share Edinburgh’s working-class history.
Hopefully, councillors will demonstrate the same understanding tomorrow.
For 40 years, the People’s Story has shared Edinburgh’s rich diverse working-class history with its residents and school pupils. The Scottish Labour History Society is alarmed to hear @Edinburgh_CC’s Culture and Communities Committee will vote on its closure this week. Pls share.
Thanks to @natlibscot for hosting the event and to the Scottish Working People’s History Trust and the MacDougall family for helping us to organise the event.
