Catriona from Scottish Recovery Network talks about the role of peer support in preventing suicide.
Peer support connects people with shared experiences, creating a space to feel heard, supported, and hopeful. 💜
Catriona and I had a fabulous session tonight with Shetland 1st Responders (Fire and Rescue, Police, Coastguard, Red Cross and Ambulance) exploring how to Create space for distress. Amazing group of compassionate, caring people. Part of our @ScotRecoveryNet Shetland visit.

Great to be at the @ScotRecoveryNet Peer Support Creating Hope Event. Fascinating discussions already about the value of peer spaces as well as how to create them.
Check out this amazing quilt based on @ScotRecoveryNet Creating Hope with Peer Support project. Made by members of @InTheKnowInv have watched this grow and it's not just the message in the quilt but also the meaningful conversations as people worked together. Impressive work!
