The latest statistics on the Education Outcomes for Scotland’s Looked After Children 2023-24 have been released today.

-The proportion of looked after children achieving SCQF level 5 has increased from 13.2% in 2009/10 to 40.8% in 2023/24.

93.1% of leavers were in a positive follow-up destination, up from 92.8% last year.

The Scottish Agriculture Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Nitrogen Use statistics were released today for the year 2023-2024.

Total agriculture emissions have been in a long-term decline. Since 1990 emissions have fallen by 13%.

This is the official measure of profit gained by the agricultural industry in Scotland and a breakdown of the value of farm production, support payments and costs.

Scottish salmon and sea trout fishery statistics were published today for the 2024 season.

Compared to the previous season, the number of rod-caught salmon increased by 42% and the number of rod-caught sea trout decreased by 12%.

The rate of children looked after per 1,000 children was 11.7 in 2024. This is the lowest rate since 2005.
