At the #TechForGood Summit 2024, our panel discussion on the value that staff in companies get through #SkilledVolunteering highlighted a wide range of benefits - as well as the personal satisfaction of making a positive difference in people’s lives.
the panellists spoke about the opportunity to gain experience with new technologies, take on new responsibilities and expand their skills. They also highlighted the opportunity to take those learnings back into their day-to-day roles and improve their working practices internally
“Volunteering for me before was going and painting a wall, going out and doing something in a garden or helping in an old folks home - I never really thought I could use the skills I have to make a difference to people.”
