School’s out for summer break! It was a tough year, but I made it— with some lovely notes & requests for selfies from many of my students. Maybe I should be giving the house a deep clean, but tonight I’m indulging in reading a non—work related novel. Tomorrow I will begin.

1 month post accident: Sam has been home for a week. I have a village helping so I can work four days/wk & not lose pay. So lucky & blessed he’s alive w/no paralysis or neuro issues! The halo stays for about 2 more months. Still has pain from surgery & injuries but less each day.
Please pray for my son. He was sideswiped on the freeway yesterday while riding his motorcycle home. Hit & run. He goes into surgery soon for broken vertebrae. These are the worst of his injuries. It will be a long, difficult recovery.

My new small-sized acacia wood lift-top coffee table w/storage! Now I can work on a surface & not have to balance my computer, papers, etc.! I’ve been searching for over a year, but the one I wanted (exact style but mango wood) cost too much. It’s the little things. . .
