You never have to convince anyone to be conservative. All you have to do is make sure people have something of value then wait for a liberal to come take it.
@Tomko_1@Pdwspoon2 I could never understand how Indianapolis isn’t more regionally tied with Chicago? It’s more in like a Cincinnati/ St.Louis loop but really is just as good as Milwaukee
I'm more upset by the number of people that think the Bears are asking for money for a stadium, and how many news organizations are leaving out the fact that the Bears own the land and have the money to build the stadium on their own. What they are asking for is road improvements to the lot and a freeze on taxes. They currently pay no taxes at soldier field because it’s owned by Chicago. The estimated tax on this new stadium yearly is 50+ million a year to start. No stadium anywhere in the NFL is paying more than 14 million. The Arlington Heights property currently generates 3 million in taxes, close to what the Cubs pay (And more than the Hawks, Bulls or Sox pay). So what we are really talking about isn't a gift to the Bears - it's an agreement for our government to make to not tax at an obscene rate - a business that will bring thousands of jobs to the area. That's where the 'billions' everyone is talking about comes from. Potential tax revenue not a loss of money already in the system.
Where do you get “baseless” from? It’s 2026 and we haven’t finished counting a states vote after an election 4 days ago? Abraham Lincoln won his reelection on November 8th, 1864. Newspapers across the country headline with Lincoln’s win on November 9th, 1864! 162 years later with machines and electronics - democrats and their yellow press are gaslighting the nation as they steal an election in front of everyone - that is what’s happening
@40thforward Full Chested - I wish these companies were not chased away by democrats causing citizens of this state to lose their jobs…

@Joshknows11@rosewdc@CoreyWriting You know Hammond doesn’t just border Illinois? It also borders the city of Chicago at 112th street? It’s like Park Ridge or Niles….
@GovPritzker We don’t need any more in taxes than the 3 million already being paid per year on that site. Can the state - especially democrats, handle something like this happening that is unable to pay into any new programs? Can you live without a revenue increase?
Why “instead of taxpayers” ? The property in Arlington Heights generates 3 million in property taxes. If the Bears put a stadium on it they were going to charge them 50 million a year. Thats 47 million more a year for improving the property that brings hubs to the area.
The answer isnt “they need to pay”. Its clearly the government needs to not expect more money from everything every time someone does anything
@esidery Wait until they offer to buy the land in Arlington Heights then use it to build Section 8 super center and drop a demographic bomb on the north suburbs.
You just keep thinking if you support democrats there might be something in it for you? Keep swallowing jb’s cum while we count how many companies Pritzker has now chased away

@Ozzyman314@lib_nonsense@ChrisMWilliams@grok What bill? They are asking to not get taxed 50 million on a property that currently brings in 3 million a year after they put a stadium on it?
