@sadfcdfans I think with all of the GAM they have he isn’t keeping them from doing anything. So they can ride out the first half, if he doesn’t come through they can put him on the injured list or buy out his contract in the summer window when most of the difference makers will be avail
@tax_zack Consider the culture you might create. If a preparer catches an error on the 2023 return while preparing 2024, you don’t want to disincentivize them from reporting. I would just create a quality and integrity evaluation criteria as part of your bonus structure.
@LAJoneser@reformedhg Agreed, I don’t tip the bartender for making the drink. I tip them so they jump to me for the next drink when I’m at the bar. I’m tipping to get served, not for the service.
@peet2 There’s a difference between a penalty and a tiebreaker. Like you mention, the run up would be good for tiebreakers, with leaving PKs for infractions.
@ForemanTaxLaw Most S corps end up being C corps anyways as they've normally tripped up something along the way. Also, low wages and high distributions is a red flag for an exam and reasonable compensation. Especially in a service based business.
