Chinese courts have ruled that gaming accounts, in-game items, and digital purchases can be passed on to family after death, setting a major legal precedent for digital ownership.

The decisions come from several court cases over the years, with judges ruling that these digital assets have real value and should be treated like other property. In one recent case, a mother was allowed to inherit her late son’s 87 gaming accounts.

The courts also ruled that platform terms of service cannot automatically block inheritance if the law permits it. However, personal data such as private messages and chat history remain protected and are not included.

Palworld’s 1.0 patch notes were so large they went over Steam’s 32,000-character limit.

The full changelog is 10,626 words and 66,550 characters, which is more than double Steam’s character limit for update posts.

Pocketpair publishing lead John “Bucky” Buckley said the team had to find a different way to publish the notes without removing any information.

Microsoft has confirmed a Windows 11 bug that can make a single file grow to 500GB or more, consuming a huge amount of storage.

The file is called CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal. It’s normally only a few MB, but due to the bug it can grow to hundreds of GB on some PCs.

If your storage suddenly looks much lower than expected, search for CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal in File Explorer to see if you’re affected.

Microsoft says the issue has been fixed in the optional KB5095093 update, and the fix will also be rolled out to everyone in the next Windows 11 Patch Tuesday update.
