An overnight crash damaged power poles on county road 42 in Savage. Minnesota Valley Electric crews have restored most of the impacted areas. The westbound lanes of county road 42 are expected to be closed between Dakota (County road 27) & Quebec all day as repairs take place.

A line of strong thunderstorms is moving east at 60 mph. Timing brings it into the west Metro around 5 am. These storms have a history of producing damaging winds gusts. #mnwx
UPDATE
Daniel Joseph Bade was found deceased in Bloomington, MN this evening. At this time authorities do not suspect his death to be suspicious.

An NWS Storm Assessment Team has determined the damage from northern Le Sueur County through Scott County was caused by downbusrt winds. No evidence of tornadic damage was found.
