@SpritzandScrums@scrumming_ten As a neutral I am completely okay with this call. Players should never be going for a jackle with his tackler on the wrong side. Clearly affects the angle of the clear outs.
The problem is refs giving soft turnovers and donโt set the standards high enough so people expect this.
@Scotlandteam Fucking shambles.
Pick an experienced back 3
Kick points when you get a chance
Win a single attacking lineout
If we did any of these 3 we win this game.
@haribaldijones Seed the top 8 teams- in a 6 pool format itโs a tad tricky but very easy to plan so on form 1 plays 8 in quarter and 2 vs 7 etc. on the other side of the draw. Then random draw for the rest. Problem solved. But that may be a bit too much common sense for world rugby.
@Ki1Jesse@OllieRitchie1 As a Scottish fan I fully agree. Feels harsh that we will likely get France in the last 16 when some 3rd place team will get Argentina but both New Zealand and SA have been shafted. The winner will come out of that absolutely battered and have to play France.
@TheRugbyPod You can see why the Boks and kiwis are put out by this draw.
For seed 1 &2 to meet in the QF really is a poor system.
As for Scotland- to get France in last 16 for finishing 2nd when some team finishing 3rd will get Argentina . . .
Maybe a whole new system is needed for 2031.
@Scotlandteam Win the group we get a 3rd place group team in the last 16.
Lose to Ireland and we get France.
Need to beat Ireland or France to get to the 1/4 finals. Lose both and weโre home before the quarters.
@brettruganalyst Iโd like to see both as legal. And thatโs coming from a Scottish fan. Itโs a great skill and keeps the guards honest and engaged. One foot behind the ball and make sure you are last man on feet at ruck.
