Finished @MarkJCarney’s Value(s). Now I know how “grappa turns back to wine” (and learned lots along the way). I’m interested in exploring further how values relate to beliefs and worldviews. Specifically, how the values articulated stem from the One who turned water into wine.
"A faith without some doubts is like a human body without antibodies. It is susceptible to attack." Tim Keller
Glad to get a call last evening confirming I had enough antibodies to protect me from the measles contact I had at @southlakehlth
Now to deal with doubts/faith.

Happy 91st birthday to former PM Jean Chrétien.
Le ‘tit gars de Shawinigan has a fitting intervention about Canadian sovereignty and pride in @globeandmail this morning:
“I can tell you Canadians prize our independence. We love our country. We have built something here that is the envy of the world.”
Amen to that.

@J_Scott_ also shared some of his own recent experience being admitted to the hospital last month.
“Your staff, from the caterer to the doctors and especially the nurses, are astounding,” he said. “Very much needed.” https://t.co/AZrTFwq62b
@J_Scott_ rightly writes:
“…we need more housing and better public services…we need better governance. That’s the mission...”

“…I am merely introducing readers to a particular approach to Paul, not providing a definitive defence of it. Rather, my hope is that the questions, the concerns, the what abouts…might spur you on to think through Paul’s letters…”
Nicely done @MattThiessenNT.
Finished these three excellent books. The two by my friend and colleague Brad Faught of @TyndaleU are superb. The one on the opium wars, equally great, was recommended by @SandySneddon.
