The Netherlands has a system paid for by compulsory private insurance, subsidized by social funds (taxes). The gov't regulates what I can be charged. Like no more than €170/day for hospital stays.
I must pay €115/month health ins. and I'm also taxed 6.7% with 37% from wages.

I'm skipping my doctor's appointment today. The cost went up, and I owe too much money already from my emergency surgery and hospital stay in April, over €3,000.
Many of my coworkers said they are also avoiding Dr.s because of cost increases.
