@UnSportsESPN near ESPN Headquarters on National Sandwich Day you can’t forget the World Famous Nardelli’s Italian Combo (locations around the state), diced veggies and hot sauce! As the head of the CT Restaurant Assoc, hoping you guys are supporting our local restaurants!
💯Agree! We need to support CT Tourism to be competitive with our peer states…that’s why our Association proposed we use our 1% Meals & Beverage Tax as a direct resource into a Connecticut Hospitality Fund - which would support Tourism, Workforce Development & Our Municipalities
Love seeing this. Also think it’s a strong argument for putting more resources into marketing & promotion. Many states dedicate a portion of hotel and/or restaurant sales tax receipts to tourism budget & convention visitors bureaus etc— something we should do.
Congrats to CT’s very own Restaurant Management Team from Wilbur Cross High School, they won the National Championship at the National ProStart Invitational in Washington, DC last night!
First @UConnMBB, then @QU_MIH and now @Wilbur_Cross_HS 🏆

@kristencoyvetti Mason might have to start taking the fatheads of Lamar down in his room…don’t think the organization and #8 can come back from this tweet! I hope I’m wrong though…but also think Bill still wants Mac!
He was unable to attend our @CraziesAwards in December, so I stopped into the Legislative Office Building yesterday to give the Speaker his CRAzy for Friend of the Industry in 2022! Thank you for your continued support and like I said yesterday “yes, it is better than an Oscar.”
I’m crushed to learn about the tragic loss of State Rep. Quentin “Q” Williams this morning. Just last night we were together at the Governor’s Ball talking with restaurateurs from all over the state and his optimism & smile lit up the room! Sending love and prayers to his family.
Simsbury’s Timothy Watson with a new state record in the high jump at 7-0.75. The senior has elected to continue and attempt 7 ft 2 inches. @GameTimeCT
Thank you @GovNedLamont and all of our legislators for helping to pass Expanded Outdoor Dining in CT for another 13 months! Outdoor Dining has saved thousands of restaurants over the past two years and this extension will continue to help our industry as we begin our recovery!
Outdoor dining created a buzz in our vibrant towns and cities while keeping restaurants on their feet during Covid. I'm proud that lawmakers on both sides of the aisle voted to pass a bill extending outdoor dining another 13 months, and am even more proud to have signed it today.
May you have all the happiness and luck that life can hold, and at the end of your rainbows you might find a pot of gold. Happy #StPatricksDay, everybody!
Congrats to former @ctrestaurant chairman and Max Restaurant Group Founder, Rich Rosenthal on his announced retirement!
I’ve always said he is the Nick Saban of our industry, as his restaurateur (coaching) tree is just amazing and so many can contribute their success to Rich!
After a more than three-decade career at the forefront of greater Hartford’s dining out scene, Richard Rosenthal — the entrepreneurial force behind the Max restaurants — is retiring and selling his share to his partners https://t.co/nSg715ahKs
