60 acres from finishing corn and the water pump goes. This tractor is great and many out there being used along with combines having the same pump. But @JohnDeere only has one new pump in the US and it’s in California. I guess I just don’t understand the supply chain.
Hearing all these HS coaches getting forced out by parents makes me wonder how long before HS sports are intramural’s? Everyone will just play travel sports.
@MarkNel1026 I had corn stalks burn a month before planting beans. Yield was unaffected. Probably lost a little in nutrients but I don’t think it was very much as all the ash remains.
Travel baseball has turned into:
Pay tons of money to play.
Pay to travel.
Pay to stay.
Pay to watch your own kid.
And somehow… this became normal. Will it ever change or just get worse?
This bridge payment will do very little to actually help farmers. There’s no change, only cash that will likely be less than 50/acre, if they’re lucky, and will go straight to input providers.
Such great opportunity to do something different and they do exact same thing….
We hired a marketing staff member in Oskaloosa for over 100k and ever since he’s been here enrollment has went down and culture worse. Superintendents just love to spend tax dollars. Makes them feel big time. Enrollment is importantly at 8k tax money per kid.
@atrippyfarmer@PioneerSeeds My pioneer sales rep did the calculations using the pro farmer method. Stand count, length of ear in inches and rows around. Last year this method was 30 bushels below actual because we had a long slow grain fill. This year I believe it could be closer or overestimated.
First of 4 rounds of game in the @OskyActivities Indian Classic are wrapping up. Oskaloosa wins 16-6 over Collins-Maxwell. Carlisle wins 7-2 over @EBFrocketnation. The @OHS_Bulldogs are about to get underway against Van Meter.
