There are good judges and there are bad judges. People who practice over there have a general idea who those folks are.
The Divisions that were cut, I am told, make no sense -- they are not the youngest, or the least efficient. One was a complete blindside. #lalege
Reform the judiciary. Now. The right way.
Somehow, the #Orleans judicial cuts (after all that) morphed into cutting three from criminal, two from municipal and traffic, two from juvenile.
But the rationale for cutting at least one, maybe all three of the judges at Tulane & Broad is political, I can only assume. #lalege

@SportBeatTweet And yet several politicians who don’t know better have their minds made up: it’s not public money and they don’t care.
I think it’s gonna be interesting if they find out how much the DEI coordinator makes and are required to flip flop.
The debate today was the first time anyone really challenged the legislative premise for all this: the bill changed form so many times it’s never really gotten the public input it deserves.
Nobody who knows what they are talking about actually thinks the bill is about safety—(I agree this is an important thing to care about, though!) or names of the athletes getting paid. The objective is hiding how much they spend on football vs baseball or tennis. It’s future proofing. And it is built around taxpayers not knowing what happens to public money. #lalege
Should be fine. Hope so!
Louisiana legislators are rapidly advancing a bill that would hide from the public how much public money is being paid to college athletes. #lalege#lagov

@Cane757 Really? Even if that were accurate… doesn’t there have to be a stadium for
TAF to sell those seats ?
So we don’t get any profit from all the public money that went into building the place? TAF got the bonds and financing handled alone ? How about the PMAC. Does TAF own that?
A state judge has ordered that Ascension Parish government officials must turn over nondisclosure agreements between officials and business leaders connected to industrial developments along the west bank of the Mississippi River in the parish, reports say. https://t.co/PLXtjUmPZ9
@dfossier@JoeBTolliver Yes, that must be it, the one in this convo that is “destructive” is the guy asking why you don’t like people dancing on one of the most joyous days of their lives.
New #LSU senior deputy AD and executive director for external affairs @HSchroyer made his Capitol debut today to help Rep. Tehmi Chassion (D) present his bill to hide revenue sharing documents from the public. Also present is executive deputy AD Julie Cromer #lalege#lagov
