Think Twice Before You Throw Away Your Rights
For those who say they love America, and for those who may not fully understand what our rights truly are, I ask you to take a moment and reflect.
The freedoms we enjoy are not privileges granted by a government. They are our birthright as Americans and are part of the foundation upon which this country was built. Before you support policies that may limit those freedoms, please think twice before you flush your rights, and the rights of every other American, down the toilet.
I have been to places around the world where people do not enjoy the freedoms we have in America. Some have never had them. Others have had them taken away. The United States remains one of the few places where you can openly speak your mind, peacefully demonstrate, practice your faith, defend yourself, and pursue your dreams without government permission. And yes, I said peacefullydemonstrate.
In many countries, criticizing the government can result in imprisonment, exile, or worse. Around the world, censorship is increasing. Governments are restricting what citizens can say, hear, and share. We see examples of this in various countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and elsewhere.
Yet here in America, we still enjoy freedoms protected by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to bear arms, the right to due process, and the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Ask yourself this question: Where else in the world can you find the same combination of freedoms and constitutional protections that Americans enjoy? If you know of such a place, share it with me. I'll wait.
Too many people seem willing to throw away these freedoms because they dislike one man, one politician, or one administration. In this case, many are driven by their opposition to President Donald Trump. Whether you support him or oppose him, the question should be bigger than any individual politician.
I often hear people claim that capitalism is failing. But where are those ideas coming from? Many of the same politicians criticizing capitalism have personally benefited from the opportunities it provides. They speak against the very system that helped them achieve wealth, influence, and success.
Meanwhile, they ask ordinary citizens to donate money and support their causes. But ask yourself: Whose cause is it really? Is it your cause, or theirs?
At the end of the day, politics has always been about influence, power, and control. Neither party is perfect, and both sides have their faults. But the real question is this:
Do you love this country more than you hate the current president?
Presidents come and go. The future of our children, grandchildren, and future generations remains long after any president leaves office.
As November 3, 2026 approaches, take the time to research the issues, study the facts, compare different countries, and think carefully about the future you want for America.
Make an informed decision. Make the choice you believe will preserve freedom, opportunity, and prosperity for future generations.
