Most try to stand out—the iconic stand FOR what matters.

During a recent presentation, I shared a powerful lesson from my time with Jesse Cole and the Savannah Bananas.
Their philosophy is simple: 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁.
Every decision from the two-hour game clock to the way they eliminate friction in the experience is designed around one question: "𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙁𝘼𝙉𝙎 𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙎𝙏?"
That level of discipline is the real lesson for all of us in business.
Extraordinary customer experience doesn’t happen by accident—it happens when every step is intentionally built around the people we serve.
I also wanted to share that Jesse Cole wrote the foreword to 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 and I’m incredibly grateful to him for his generosity and support.

We bust the myth that kids are apathetic and don't work, from my experience as keynote speaker at the National FFA Convention, where over 70,000 young people gathered. We discussed the importance of standing for what you believe in to these motivated youth.

I make my living with words. But I cannot find the ones to express how it felt to speak for70,000 future leaders and to receive the unbelievable feedback and love I have experienced.
I am so grateful. I am so excited to bring this to YOUR next meeting. There has never been a more important or compelling time to speak to what you STAND FOR!
70,000+ FFA members and guests will gather soon, facing unprecedented change. While agribusiness and technology transform, one constant remains: the vital importance of character and leadership. It's not just about standing out, but what you stand FOR. #FFA#Leadership#Character
@mikecane Thanks Mike! This is really interesting. I use my MacBook Pro for my presentations, but I’ve noticed a lot of speakers are moving to the iPad. I will share this and I wonder how this will impact their decisions?
Can’t believe I’m saying this — but at this point, I wish the #Colts would go after Tomlin or Gruden. And do it NOW.
Give us ANY winner for HC. Someone who won’t finish the day of a demoralizing loss talking about how they need to “clean it up.”
Anyone is better than this. It’s bad when you’re missing Coach Saturday.
Great leaders have the answers.
Or do they? This week’s #MythBusterMonday challenges the myth that certainty and leadership are the same thing.
When leaders believe they must always be the smartest person in the room, employees stop contributing ideas, raising concerns, and challenging assumptions.
Leadership isn’t knowing everything. It’s asking the questions that reveal the best answer—and having the courage to act on it.

Did you really “Google him”? Cignetti has been a head coach from 2011 to the present. Record is 150-37, Post season record 17-10, national runner-up at JMU and championship at IU.
Of course you didn’t count his total record — just as you didn’t include Rhule’s .289 winning percentage and record of 11-27 in the NFL.
