Some sad news. W.C. Clark, the Godfather of the Austin blues scene and a man who so impacted the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and hundreds of other great musicians, has died. He was 84. There's no cause of death announced, but W.C. has been in hospice care since his final performance at Giddy Ups on Feb. 20. I saw him dozens of times over the years. He was not only exceptionally talented but exceptionally kind. He will be missed. Here's a photo of W.C. in 1996.
