@NateSilver538 It will take many years of hindsight to determine “the worst part” of the pandemic. Each major variant introduces new potential long-term health consequences based on it’s survival tactics. We do not have that hindsight. It very well might get worse.

I've just returned from the annual @InnocenceNtwrk Conference, a gathering of exonerees, innocence lawyers, forensic experts, and advocates. This year, over 200 exonerees attended, representing over 6000 years of wrongful imprisonment.

@SindiaSrj I started holding an open-hour devoted to “fundamentals.” Many of my students who are typically afraid to come to my “office hours” show up to that one instead. It was on a different day of the week, so I need to control for availability.
One of my students made me a semicolon pillow that I can throw at other students when they leave off semicolons in their MATLAB code and then submit a published pdf with 100 pages of printed numbers.
