Great morning guest teaching the FHS Coaching class all about #DisabilityAwarenessandAcceptance. Ss were great participants & engaged in the various conversations & activities. We discussed the array of hidden & visible disabilities, how to promote awareness & acceptance. From daily kindness to specific adaptations & modifications as well as #adaptiveequipment. This worked great today for students with visual impairments or lower mobility. Put a resistance band through the holes in the ball and the ball has bells as well. Attached it to a standard and student/support staff held the other end tight while student worked on dribbling.

Students in ESS 363 Inclusive Physical Activity started the peer teaching unit introducing and teaching fun physical activities for people with visual impairment. Smiley, Drew and Sophia introduced blind kickball, modified cornhole, and hula hoop activities. It was FUN!
