@AnthonyG0528 If someone had a work visa, are they illegal? What if you're seeking asylum? What about those working towards legal status? What about the types of visas? Should EB-1s be for scientists and business execs? Should HB-1s grant legal status?
@themichaeltbh Well, it's about competition. "X did this before Y, so Y needs to catch up" or "Y added this, X should do the same". But as Simon said, it's just your algo. The more you interact with Z, the more Z you get. It's designed to milk engagement from us, and you interact with this alot
@CrystalLaserYT@zeanxe@fwprism I will also say, I do dump roms, so I'm less affected overall by this. But it's still good to have my physical copies in case my emu glitches out or such.
@CrystalLaserYT@zeanxe@fwprism Multiple on same cart. Batteries don't last forever obviously, and Pokemon Gen 1 are 30 years old, so I've had to change batteries out quite alot. Average button cell only lasts about 5 years in active use. That IS a downside for older games, but it's worth it.
@Zoroarts@Steam It's $5 for 2 hours. Everyones view of the dollar is different. For many of us, a disjointed, low effort game isn't worth 5 bucks. Sure, he's solo, but from the few minutes I've seen, PPP looks like something I'd make for a high school project to prove I learned the course
@MSwolja47603@CrystalLaserYT@fwprism Sadly, you have to care about Pokemon Emerald. If you pick and choose what gets protection, that means the thing you pick will eventually be the thing to lose said protections for Space Marines 3, or because Focus Entertainment wants you to play Evil West 2 SM2 is diverting sells
@CrystalLaserYT@meeeeehhhhhj@fwprism Categorically false. They can't disable a physical cart. They can disable pirated software, but the carts are fully offline. And the RESTRICTION is for the eShop and multiplayer. You can still play pirated games offline.
@zeanxe@CrystalLaserYT@fwprism They run on battery. A battery, if you don't know, can be replaced. Unless you're the type of person who buys a brand new TV every time the remote dies. You can crack open the cart and replace the button cell. I've done this many times with my Pokemon Red and Pokemon Emerald.
@fwprism Im pretty sure I OWN the copy of Super Mario World I currently have on my shelf that I can at any point in time pick up. If Nintendo wants me to STOP playing it, they have to PHYSICALLY come to my house and take it. With Digital, they can enter a few lines of code and disable it.
@gingasvr The problem is, most of the files require verification. Even if you download the game, the DRM would still be a problem. It also means the publisher can strip official access at any point. The only way to "keep" the game then is by asking Luffy for help. Look at The Crew.
@TaroTheCerelean Not the best two games to show... DKB is 9 gigs at most. Pokopia is 10 gigs at most. Nintendo has a 16 gig cart they sell. Even for Sony, Helldivers 2 is only 22 gigs. The reason most games are so huge is down to lack of optimization and compression.
@SonicHero3D Game Key Cards killed physical media. The data goes to your storage device, taking up space like digital games. We COULD resell digital media if not for outdated laws. If I were to pay for a pirated copy of a movie, that's exactly what Game Key Cards basically do.
@DJK1NG_Gaming If you need to download the game, you didn't buy it physically. Know what we call something you can't actually hold but still paid for? An NFT. Or better yet, you own a piece of Logan Pauls Charizard. If the data goes onto ANYWHERE besides the game card, IT'S DIGITAL.
@intelegencian@Urdaddddd123@AManWhoisLost@EdenMourns@fwprism But we weren't the ones who stopped making physical in the 2000s. CEOs decided to save a buck and push digital. Look at Windows. We didn't ask for the Cloud, it was pushed on us. Notice how we went from "My PC" to "This PC"? We didn't tell Microslop to do this. CEOs decided this.
@larney_sol@garykoepnick@RT_com Why should he apologize? The guy threw something at his dog. Even if we remove the dog from the equation, he still threw his package, which could've destroyed it. Drivers are trained to stay in their truck and honk, or refuse delivery, or to use their boards in emergencies.
@Urdaddddd123@AManWhoisLost@EdenMourns@fwprism 1: It's not our fault, as this is what companies have been pushing towards since digital became a thing.
2: People still buy physical. If that were untrue, we wouldn't be talking about this right now.
3: But still the right call, since they're the ones that forced this.
@GabCursino@Canadianguyehh 1: The translation you're going off of was incorrect. The 10% was industry standard to stay competitive and it was years ago.
2: We could resell our PS5 games quite easily through Ebay, or as a last resort, Game Stop. And it didn't have extra steps like uninstalling files to sell
@CommonSense4US@Turbolunch@RinoTheBouncer Did you know Han Solo shot first? Lucas decided to change that for the rerelease. Did you know The Last Of Us had a real phone number to a "very hot line"? That was removed. Censor/Alters happen regardless of media and release. We need to treat it as equal.
@larney_sol@garykoepnick@RT_com Everyone has a right to defend themselves from CREDIBLE threats. If the dog was vicious, the driver would've been screwed regardless of a box. And squaring up against the owner, who could've had a gun, is not defending oneself.
@Michael25731595@garykoepnick@RT_com Ah yes... That's why you throw the gun at an attacker instead of shooting it, right? I also suppose that's why Captain America throws his shield like a Frisbee instead of going Viking on Red Skull.
