This place is amazingly beautiful. This trip has given me a greater appreciation for the world around us and how we must protect it. While we’ve had an amazing experience, I’ll be glad to get home again. To be near those we love most is the best feeling of all.
Five thing that many people forget and intend on working on.
1. Take time for your family
2. Take time for your friends
3. Embrace today
4. Be nice to everyone
5. Slow down to go fast

This place really makes me appreciate this wonderful world. Reinforces the idea of making sure we take care of it and leave it better than we got it. “Mahalo” is a great word I learned here. It means thank you, gratitude, and respect. I feel all these things.
Some recreational reading, tea and a Hawaiian sunrise. I’m only a day into our vacation and already feel spoiled.
Just reminder to all , please take time for yourself. We do important work, it’s important to rest, recharge, and return rejuvenated.
I will still be checking occasionally, but setting strict limits for myself. I’m focusing on reclaiming my love of reading, biking, playing my guitar/flute. If anyone has experienced a similar feeling and has some ideas that will help or some advice, I’d love to hear it.
I’ve been taking a voluntary hiatus from much of social media. I had no idea how dependent I have become on my phone, social media, random scrolling, etc and I don’t like it. I’ll still be checking in, but I am setting strict limits for myself.
Education community… what are your go-to AI tools for the coming year. I’m looking to expand my educational toolbox and can’t think of a better source. Thank you in advance!

My fav. tradition to start the school year continues. She was too little the first couple of years at HB, but here she is the last few, helping me set up my classroom. I know she’ll outgrow this tradition of ours at some point, but until then I will cherish this time. #HBStrong
So lucky to live on Long Island. Easy access to the best beaches and water. Taking a break from admin classes and prepping for new school year to enjoy the outdoors. #SelfCare#HBStrong
I want to be this kind of teacher for my kids. The school year can be exhausting to say the least. I maybe tired, but I always look forward to not only going back to school, but seeing my students. I owe it to them to be present each day. #HBStrong
While the school year may be ending, the learning doesn’t stop. Some of my summer reading this year. Let me know what you think!
Always looking for suggestions of professional and entertaining reads as well!
