Last night, the homes of the @brooklynmuseum director and multiple Jewish board members were vandalized.
Make no mistake: this is vile antisemitism and it is making Jews - and everyone - unsafe.

“Knife to the throat.” 20 years ago, there was an anti-occupation movement committed in good faith to peace, human rights, and some form of truth, reconciliation and accountability. This is not that.
@mfclalla What a chilling story. I thought a lot about MK Ultra back during undergrad at McGill. Never met a descendant of a victim, much less in the human rights community. Surprised the territorial tort exception to immunity would not apply, but haven’t read the decision.
Small island states here @SIDS4AB justifiably proud of @cosis_ccil extraordinary work at ITLOS. Now the q is how to translate the opinion into action @mwewerinke
We live in a world made by the killing of the peace movement by Kahanist, Likud, and Hamas ghouls, and if we’re being honest, by SJP and those who elevate ideology over human rights.
ISIS Genocide against the Iraqi Yazidis and the Syrian Kurds was halted specifically due to western intervention in the Middle East, and while Owen Jones claims to support the Syrian Kurds, he displayed that support by marching against providing them with Close Air Support.
Three former Syrian officials are on trial in France, raising questions of international responsibility in seeking justice for Syrians, explains human rights lawyer @SeifJoumana in the #NewAtlanticist.

1/5 Just Now: Paris court in a landmark decision, sentenced Syria's highest ranking intelligence officials to life, in absentia, for the the torture and murder of Mr Mazen and his son Patrick in detention.
I welcome the ICC prosecutor’s request for arrest warrants for Hamas leaders, Sinwar, Deif and Haniyeh, and for Israel’s PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant. Hamas leaders should be held accountable for the war crimes and crimes against humanity they undoubtedly committed on October 7th (which includes the crimes of extermination, murder, torture, rape, and taking hostages). Netanyahu and Gallant should be held accountable for the war crime and crime against humanity of “starvation of civilians as a method of war” during Israel’s war in Gaza -- there is at the very least “reasonable grounds to believe” that they have committed such a crime (Gallant announced on Oct. 9, 2023, "I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel"; ten days later Netanyahu stated, "we will not allow humanitarian assistance, in the form of food and medicines, from our territory to the Gaza Strip"). This is not about drawing a moral equivalence between Hamas and Israel. It is about upholding international law and holding decision-makers accountable. International arrest warrants have just been requested by the ICC attorney general @KarimKhanQC against Israel’s Netanyahu and Gallant, and against Hamas’s Sinwar, Deif and Haniyeh.
It is a well founded request and an apex of the Israeli-Palestinian tragedy. I hope Israeli elections are now in clear sight. No such prospects for Gaza.
On my way to the anti-government rally in Jerusalem, which promisesto be large and angry. And I can clearly hear, all the way from the Negev, David Ben Gurion turning in his grave.
World exclusive: In major breaking news, International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor @KarimKhanQC tells me @IntlCrimCourt is seeking arrest warrants for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity over the October 7 attacks on Israel and the subsequent war in Gaza
