@WallStreetApes I work at a gas station. Before you can pump a single gallon, you have to pay $1.65. In tax and fees First. California adds whatever fees they want to gasoline. Because if it's a tax, it has to be voted on by the people.

@lipo1 I had a 2013 Model S. The rear drive motor needed to be replaced at 100,000 miles. At 150,000 miles, the battery also had to be replaced. Even today, replacing the battery and drive unit on a Tesla is still significantly more expensive than replacing an engine and transmission.
