Schmid's identity was withheld by German media outlets, but has been confirmed via an anonymous tip and by cross-referencing his arm tattoo against a court photo.

Schmid had previously been positively profiled by media as a "woman" with a "delicate soul."

An NHS nurse whose male colleague continues to use the women’s changing room - despite the Supreme Court ruling, a new hospital policy and gender-neutral facilities being available.

A hospital receptionist investigated for 18 months after saying trans women are not women.

An ambulance worker accused of “harassing” trans people because of gender-critical posts on her personal social media.

And a GP who fears the proposed Conversion Practices Bill could make parents and doctors afraid to explore explanations for a child’s gender distress other than that they are transgender - potentially putting that child on a path towards irreversible treatment.

More NHS workers contacted me than I could possibly interview for this investigation into what it is like working in the health service if you believe biological sex is real.

I couldn’t quote everyone. But everyone had a story.

With one exception - Darlington nurse Bethany Hutchison - every NHS worker I interviewed asked to remain anonymous for fear of losing their job or damaging their career.

These are medical professionals working in a health service where biological sex can be crucial to diagnosis, treatment and patient safety.

Yet some are frightened even to say that a man cannot become a woman.

I do strangulation exams as part of my job. I have taken extensive training in strangulation and am qualified to testify as an expert in strangulation cases. The general public has no idea how bad this epidemic has become, how many women and girls this is happening to, or how dangerous this is.

I share facts about it sometimes like men who strangle women are twice as likely to be involved in a mass shooting or to kill a cop. Women who are strangled by their partners are 750% more likely to be killed by that partner.
I tell people that death by strangulation can occur in just minutes, under a minute if you hit the right nerve bundles that lead to certain arrhythmias. I also tell them that a woman can die from a strangulation event up to one year after the event and that a pregnant woman who has been strangled is at high risk of pregnancy loss for weeks after the strangulation event. Strangulation can lead to brain damage, physical disability, stroke, pregnancy loss, and death.
I tell people that there is no safe way to strangle and that nobody has the ability to consent to being murdered, and consent is not an excuse for murder, if someone were to consent to this it is incumbent on the would be murderer to use self discipline and restraint, because a person’s “consent” to being murdered is not going to be recognized by any court as a legitimate excuse. Nobody can consent to being killed.
When I tell people these things, a very few are appreciative, mostly women, some are interested, men and women, and some attack me for being stupid and not knowing what I am talking about, apparently days of professional training and hundreds of exams performed mean nothing to the “experts” of X. Those that attack are mostly men. Some argue with me about dumb things, like my insistence to call strangulation what it is. Strangulation is not choking, choking is not strangulation, these are two different types of ways to block an airway but they are not the same. That is what people argue with me about the most. They insist on using incorrect language and then provide me with a weak google link picture of a choke hold to try to prove it’s the same.
So then it becomes me explaining that a choke hold is called a chokehold but it is not choking it is strangulation and that blows their minds and I am met with silence or swears.
This is an incredibly important issue that needs to be discussed but it is very contentious and the defenders of strangulation can turn into rabid dogs very quickly.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the effort you are taking here, that you are raising awareness and that you are using accurate language and data. It’s really important that we change the narrative around this subject.

I would like to share this resource with you, I’m not sure if you are aware of them or not, but this was the group that did my training on strangulation. They go all over the US teaching medical professionals and law enforcement about strangulation and they have a ton of information and resources on their website. You might find them useful.

I am Eldur, a gay man from Iceland who has spent years speaking out against the sexualisation, medicalisation and sterilisation of gender-non-conforming children, and against the erosion of gay rights, women’s rights and free expression.
I am currently facing a lawsuit in Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík District Court) brought by Ugla Stefanía Kristjónudóttir Jónsdóttir — co-author of the notorious Dentons “playbook” and Reykjavík City’s “transgender issues specialist” — simply because I called puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for minors what they are: child abuse.
The second preliminary hearing is this Thursday, 20 August. The case is moving forward. I am approximately €2,000 short of the target, and my legal fees are due at the end of August. Without this sum, my defence is at risk.
This is not just about me. It is a SLAPP-style attempt to bankrupt and silence a gay man who refuses to lie about sex, biology, and the safeguarding of children. Ugla’s lawsuit is designed to scare anyone who dares question the current orthodoxy. If it succeeds, it sets a dangerous precedent: that critics of gender ideology can be dragged through the courts and financially ruined for telling the truth.
I have no large organisation behind me. I am an ordinary Icelander relying on the goodwill of people worldwide who still believe in evidence-based safeguarding, free speech, and the right of gay men to say that men are not women and that children need protection.

The SNP lost at the Supreme Court.

They lost again on prisons.

So now they’re going to rewrite the law itself to suit their own agenda.

Having been told, twice, that sex means biological sex, they are preparing a new “Human Rights Bill” designed to force public bodies to prioritise gender identity over the Supreme Court’s ruling.

This isn’t expanding rights. It’s a calculated attempt to legislate their way around a judgment they refuse to accept, so they can keep putting men who claim to be women into women’s spaces, prisons and services.

They change the law when the law doesn’t give them what they want.

Women have already been thrown under the bus enough times for this ideology.

For you @JohnSwinney, why can’t you just accept the law and biological reality?

In basic biology, sex is defined by the type of gamete an organism is organised to produce: females produce large gametes (ova/eggs), males produce small gametes (sperm).

In humans this is fixed at conception by chromosomes (XX or XY) and is binary and unchangeable.

For some unknown reason, you are unwilling to accept that FACT.

No amount of legislation, feelings or political will alters that.

Jason Arday’s death is tragic. But please spare us the sanctimonious complaints that he was merely an ‘obscure’ academic who was the victim of a racist witch-hunt. The probing and questioning and exposure were entirely legitimate.

Arday was plainly guilty of plagiarism. He had also made a series of fantastical claims about his life and career. He ended up being appointed as a professor at one of the world’s most august seats of learning – where his students, who had worked extremely hard to get there, were paying large fees for the privilege of being taught by him.

Far from being obscure, Arday had happily engaged with the media over many years, often repeating his false claims. He appeared on numerous TV shows and guest edited Radio 4’s flagship Today programme. He even carried the Olympic torch.

Moreover, he had secured a major publishing deal for his autobiography, which was set to be released in Britain and the US just as the scandal broke. By no measure was this man ‘obscure’.

When a fellow academic in Plymouth began to question his credentials, Arday (or someone close to him) made a complaint to the police. When a journalist from Times Higher Education started investigating, he was subjected to a police inquiry and also received a threatening letter from the leading libel solicitors, Carter Ruck.

Arday and those around him were clearly not averse to hounding others when they felt like it.

It’s very possible that Arday did not have sufficient support measures in place when he was finally exposed – but that’s on others. The investigation and questions amounted to legitimate journalistic inquiry.

This was never just about Arday’s fabulism. It was also about the increasingly controversial philosophy of DEI, the obsession of our political, corporate and educational institutions with pushing that philosophy, and how it might have led to someone with Arday’s subpar credentials being appointed in the first place.

These are all valid questions to ask – and, by asking them, journalists are simply doing their jobs.

Kellie-Jay Keen received a call while on holiday from a police officer asking her to attend a voluntary interview in relation to two separate investigations.

One complaint relates to a speech she gave at the Unite the Kingdom rally. The other concerns a post on X in which she said, “We have Muslim fatigue,” before going on to talk about gang rapes, hate preaching and Sharia courts.

The officer said police were investigating whether her post on X constituted an offence under the Malicious Communications Act and wanted to establish what her intention was when she posted it. He also confirmed that an individual had taken offence at the post and reported it to the police. The same was true of her speech.

Kellie was also told that if she refused to attend the voluntary interview, she could face arrest.

How is this proportionate? And in what world is this a good use of police time?

It is not illegal to offend someone in Britain — yet. The police also appear to have forgotten that Parliament abolished the blasphemy laws 18 years ago.

The Starmer Government’s decision to introduce an official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — which has had a chilling effect on free speech. Activists have weaponised the definition by making vexatious complaints to the police about anyone who dares to debate, criticise or mock Islam.

This is Britain in 2026.
