@wass74 A great place to visit. Lived in Wellingore for 9 years and walked/cycled to Temple Bruer many times. The old RAF Wellingore site has some old pillboxes which are still exploreable as well.

Sad to see. A favourite player of mine and also a neighbour when i was growing up. Was a lovely man and a hard as nails player. RIP ❤️

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news.
Former player Willie Watson has died.
Signed in 1973 by manager Ian St John from Manchester United, he made his debut at centre half on 10 October in a 1-0 League Cup win at Celtic Park.
He made approximately 172 appearances for the club before moving to Dundee in 1978.
Later he made 135 appearances with Phoenix Inferno in the US Major Indoor Soccer League.
A couple of photos show Willie in September 2023 when I took him on a tour of Fir Park.
He was interviewed and filmed by Nick Mackie from MFC Heritage Trust, he had some great stories about his time at Motherwell even if told in a strange American/Scottish accent.
