/2 my Dad’s piece box but a fall back to for tea at home when the coffers were empty. I’ve never really thought about where “bridie” comes from before, but a quick google search into its origins is interesting. Look it up when you have some free time.

@Scottishrecipes Just come across a digitalised version of a Scottish cookery book from 1755 -A New and Easy Method of Cookery by Elizabeth Cleland.She ran a cookery school from her home in The Luchenbooths, Edinburgh. The book has 700 recipes - so looks like a busy time ahead 😀
