Welcome to Mrs. Duke’s Deliciously Delectable Delights bakery! Today, we trained to become master bakers by adding and subtracting fractions, and multiplying fractions and whole numbers. My treats were only “half” as good as these bakers’ concoctions! @EMYoderElem 🍰🧁🍪
Students read a poem by Jack Prelutsky and drew robots and aliens on hundreds grids. Then, students compared their creatures to other creatures using symbols. @EMYoderElem
So grateful to have heard the Italian tale, Big Anthony and the Magic Ring, read to us by board member, Allison Gant this afternoon! Thank you for the lively reading of the story you shared today! #readaroundtheworld#readacrossamerica@EMYoderElem
Students practiced finding the area and perimeter of rectangles and rectilinear figures on our work site. It was a hard hat and hard work only zone, and I heard so many “Ooooohs” when students realized what area and perimeter actually show us! So much fun!
Students practiced finding area and gained an understanding of square inches through pictures today in mastering standard https://t.co/0YI8NhayNu.3! @EMYoderElem#concretetoabstract
So thankful for the connections I have with some of my teachers, both then and now! My first grade teacher sent me a card including a Starbucks Gift Card from her sorority today. I love educators! I only hope I can connect on this level with some of my students.
Puns and students showing mastery of math standards are two of my favorite things! I love to look over their exit tickets and and being able to see students’ learning! @EMYoderElem
Thank you so much, @Zaxbys in Mebane for the delicious kid's meals today! Also, thanks to the wonderful families in our class who came out to Zaxby's to support our school. What a great community to be in! @EMYoderElem
